LACAJA

is an open, creative and flexible space specialised in three disciplines: architecture, art and furniture design.

Furniture Artisans

LA CAJA is a furniture store. Our pieces are designed and artisanally made in Spain. Our objects are made by hand so as to take care of every last detail and make each object a unique and unrepeatable piece with carefully selected materials.

The collection contains our own designs and others of contemporary designers. In 2015, LACAJA acquired the Spanish brands Casa & Jardín and C&J2. Since then, we have reworked a selection of the most iconic furniture pieces of the two brands which have inspired us to design new pieces.

LACAJA has an international vocation and it has clients across the whole of Europe. We regularly participate in the furniture fair Maison&Objet in Paris.

Art

LACAJA is a place for producing and exhibiting art with the objective of discovering, supporting and promoting local artists dedicated to painting, graphic design, digital art and the production of artistic objects.

We seek art that inspires us and encourages us to reflect about our environment and the moment in which we live. We admire the work of artists who, irrespective of the medium, pull us out of our daily reality and immerse us into new worlds and new perspectives.

The space of LACAJA sporadically holds temporary exhibitions for our friends and clients.

Architectural office

LACAJA is a European architectural office based in Madrid specialised in public and residential works. LACAJA undertakes projects of all scales, such as the design of buildings, interior design, decoration and the personalisation of furniture.

With more than 20 years of experience, LACAJA has executed architectural projects for private customers and international companies across Europe and in Latin America. Our clients look for an architecture and interior design that integrate the landscape; spaces with balance and elegance as their principal characteristics.

Our language is modern and sober. Each project is a challenge which allows us to offer a unique and unrepeatable product adapted to the wishes of the client: an opportunity to provide an exclusive and complete environmental, visual and tactile experience.

Responsible and sustainable development

LACAJA is responsible in caring for the environment and the planet.

We use artisanal manufacturing processes and natural treatments for the materials and we produce in workshops located in the same region in order to minimise our carbon footprint.

The designs of LACAJA are simple and removed from fashion trends. This is because we wish to produce timeless pieces in order to adapt to the evolution of lifestyles. Long-lasting objects that transmit and heal due to the quality and nature of the materials used.
